TAKES FLIGHT

Learn & Love It Takes Flight is a unique opportunity for dancers who are at least 12 show an interest in continuing to pursue dance and have previous dance experience.  Dancers in this program are given opportunities to show leadership, collaborate and perform locally.  FLIGHT stands for:

By participating in Learn & Love It TAKES FLIGHT, families commit to:

Participate in all three terms throughout the school year.

Purchase costumes. An effort is made to keep these costs low, use items that dancers may already own and purchase things that can be worn again.

Extra rehearsals to prepare for the performance. This has been anywhere from 4-8 meetings per year, typically closer to the performance.

Other events outside of class. We volunteer together at least once a year. We also get together socially. This has included bowling, game nights and attending performances. Social events are not required, but since friendship is one of our values, we love to have students participate.
